Ah, are you using the full-on software, or the drivers only?

There are two options Scan Gear, and IJ Scan.

I've been using IJ because it's much easier to make sense of, and it also seemed much more comprehensive, but just looking on Scan Gear, the options go up to 1200dpi on there, but still no 2400.

Off to get the dinner now I'll have a read of the info later.

That's just plain rude @oldwheels - you'd expect someone to ask first, at least.

Generally people do ask and I explain that it is a somewhat complex machine and unless they know exactly what they are doing it is easy to cause damage and thank them for their interest.
This applied in large degree to the Ice recumbent which flopped around a lot if lifted wrongly.
