Flipping noticeable north easterly this evening. Had a stiff muscle just below my right knee suddenly yesterday afternoon whilst sitting and it gradually got a better today. Had an Amazon return, of an alleged bottom bracket press fit pressing tool which turned out to be actually a headset one, to take to an Evri drop off shop. Gingerly set off on the ebike into the wind and the muscle soon improved. At least for once I had a tail wind home.

Lovely supper of spaghetti in a tomato & pesto sauce, plus steamed & buttered savoy cabbage and then lashings of freshly grated Grana Padano cheese on top

Last day of work for two weeks completed.
The glorious weather continues. I couldn't resist a trip to the beach and a coastal perambulation. Even on an even like today, my secret beach remains mostly undiscovered.
I witnessed a couple walking a lovely Border Collie on the beach and then put him in the boot of a saloon model Toyota Corolla. To put a dog in the boot of a hatchback or estate with the parcel shelf removed, fair enough. To put one in the dark and completely enclosed space of a traditional saloon car, especially in this heat is surely a horrible thing to do.

So much for swapping my days off work round. I'd spent the morning doing domestics and stopped for a coffee break around midday and logged on to the works laptop to check something ahead of going back in tomorrow only to find out that the most experienced staff member on duty had called in sick leaving only a newbie to cope with the fallout of 2 big vessel arrivals. I did what I could from home for a couple of hours until the late shift turned up and then buggered off on the bike for another couple of hours.

I've just gone to make a glass of squash before bed an it looks there's been a bit of rain or drizzle to go with the grey, windy and cold weather of earlier in the day. When does summertime start?
