Lovely sunny day

A lovely warm & sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, but with a very high pollen count. 🤧

Slept really well (overslept) and have had a gentle morning doing those small things that have to be done because they won't go away if you ignore them. That included cleaning a pile of cat sick.

This afternoon I also plan on getting some grass cutting done, and I also want to bake my bakewell tart. Then I shall have some nice sustenance while I listen to the Le Mans 24 Hours on the radio this weekend. (Radio Le Mans)

Madam Lexi is licking the sitting room window. Mad thing.

Anyways, it is time for luncheon.

Mrs 73 is doing a very high level security clearance form online. It's pagers of the stuff and covers most areas of our lives.

Had a lovely luncheon of a bagel filled with lox & a schmear, plus a banana, a tangerine, the last of the strawberries, some walnuts and the obligatory two :cuppa:

Then spent much of the afternoon cutting grass. The mower is performing well, though I still need to deal with the sloppy steering. That'll be a job for a rainy day.

After, I treated myself to a bumpark in the sunshine in the company of a good book, in this case "Fearless" - the second volume in Jack Campbell's "Lost Fleet" series. Now having a :cuppa: and a two finger kit kat.

Another nice sunny day but did nothing much apart from having an afternoon snooze in my sheltered seat in the garden.
Car is back with a note attached. Broken front offside spring and they have booked it in next Thursday to fit a new spring. Blasted potholes at the side of single track road probable cause.
The neighbours keep an eye on me and one chased a touroid who attempted to park in my spot. She has made up" RESIDENT ONLY PARKING" signs and will laminate them tomorrow for putting up all along our bit of street.
In the main car park yesterday a large motorhome with no Blue Badge took up two spaces for disabled and some others have been told to go forth and multiply when blocking entrances. This was not by me but I seem to be partly barred from one of the local FB pages as I disagreed with a mod who thinks touroid can do no wrong.
When we had a shop with an awning some tried to park directly in front of us and it seemed like middle of the night till they were persuaded to shift.
There are in fact signs telling motorhome owners they cannot park on the Main St but they are widely ignored and we have no traffic wardens. It is apparently not a police matter either.
