The rain passed over by midday and a lovely day ensued but a bit windy.
Some more garden tidying beside my front path.
I find this very tiring work as ivy and bramble are two persistent nuisances as well as the bishop weed. None of them can be eradicated easily so it is a matter of keeping them under control.
Bending is a problem so bishop weed is a hands and knees job. I have a strong plastic fish basket for the weeds as I need it to help me back on to my feet.
Spent the rest of the afternoon resting in my garden despite one short, light shower.
Strange thing is I can cycle reasonably well for reasonable distances but everything else exhausts me very quickly these days.

I have a similar problem I bought a kneeling stool When opened up it can Be used as kneeler turn it the other way you can use it as a stool .It has sturdy handles to push up on.

Over 200 miles and over 18,000 ft of climbing. In this heat is going some. To say same are looking like longing for the finish is under statement. Wonder how many bailed at the 1/2 way point.

I have a similar problem I bought a kneeling stool When opened up it can Be used as kneeler turn it the other way you can use it as a stool .It has sturdy handles to push up on.

Veg and fruit plants have been watered
I spent nearly an hour earlier finding the correct battery for a watch from one of those £1 shop battery cards , when i removed the back cover a cardboard spacer fell out , fitted new battery along with spacer all worked for about 10 minutes there followed 45 minutes of my father trying to find another watch and all of his spares ones had faults

Man in LBS said my tyres were under inflated on my earlier visit. He kindly pumped them up. Went to go out this afternoon to find front wheel flat.

Replacing an inner tube is about the only bit of bike maintenance I can do. Valve had torn free from the tube.

Happy birthday to your daughter for tomorrow . Indeed time flies, our eldest is forty next month, where did that go?

This week has been a bit busy. Lovely meal out this evening courtesy of Mr Hebe’s long service award at work. I’m meant to be swimming early tomorrow morning but an early start does not appeal at the moment.

Had hake baked under a parmesan & basil crumb crust, roasted mediterranean veggies and coleslaw for supper. Oh, and a portuguese custard tart for afters.
