Did clear the path though, and gritted it. I use wood ash as I have a plentiful supply of it. Even when things get wet / icy you still get a good bit of grip.

Depends what you have Wol. If it's a good ol' fashioned rollerball mouse, you can take it apart and clean it... the contacts inside tend to clag up. If you've got one with a fancy red light, new batteries normally do the trick!I would usually get warm and cosy on the sofa and do on-line scrabble and/or on-line jigsaw puddles, but I my mouse has gone on strike. Do they get clogged up with dust, and if so, I can I fix it myself?
