Mundane day.
Went on overdue visit to see Vanessa.
She was decidedly flat and didn't want to bother going out.
I'd planned a little trip to the seaside for her. Bit of sunshine I'm sure she would have felt better.
But she was not having anything to do with it.
Just sat there and sulked so I went off to the man cave.

Tanya has come to the rescue and hopefully Vanessa will feel a lot better by Friday.

Funny you should ask that. There was a question on the Gardens web page asking were dogs allowed in.The reply was no only guide dogs, the person asking was not happy at all.I dont want to see dog sheet or black bags hanging from branches thank you.

With you on the black bags thing. What sort of person .........?
Extemporise your own "dog dirt" rant from here ......

That's three heaped wheelbarrows of logs dumped in the garage. Glad I got all the wood I'd cut / furkled under cover before the weather turns. My quads and biceps are really feeling that now, but I'm set with firewood for a little while. Means I can divert my attention to other things. Garage is a mess though, thinking of buying some dumpy bags to keep the firewood in.

Now kicking back in the company of a :cuppa: and a box of Lindor.

I don't like gardening to RHS dictate either. I'm sure the father of Harrow carr one Jeffrey Smith would see it very differently.
Oh and someone need's to tell them since disability discrimination act it's illegal to say guide dogs only. Any assistance dog is welcome official reg or otherwise as it's legal to even ask.

A bright, breezy and very spring-like day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well (yay!) and had a morning catching up on chores. My crates with veg in the utility room have been topped up and sorted out, and the packaging consigned to the relevant bins. Same done with fruit. The prawns I bought on Sunday had actually frozen (they were at the top of the utility room fridge) so I've repackaged those and stashed them in the freezer. Then I went out with the telescopic loppers and did another bit on the mulberry's haircut as the parental said there was still some space in the green wheelie bin.

Bins are emptied here tomorrow morning, and as it's green bin this week, might as well make sure it's full before putting it out later.

This afternoon, I shall bring another load of firewood in. That'll be the last lot for a little while, given what the forecast is like for the rest of this week. At least it's not going to be cold, so I won't be going through the stash in the garage like it's going out of fashion.

Anyways, it is time for luncheon.

Walking in the Ashdown Forest today, I found myself in Winnie the Pooh territory. This apparently is the Heffalump Trap beneath the lone pine. (For when you next need it.)

Silver palm oil.?

Normally it's road improvements and large about of 106 money. We had one go up near us i was on the coop area board at the time, we went all the way though every review and appeal going. They already had an excess of large stores around it ended up at the then monopoly and mergers. They ruled that it was a monopoly but as not one brick had been laid it was a case of nothing they could do. Tesco understood the game and waited.

Must have taken some palm oil to get that through

Same location where they got permission to build a bigger store, then came Tesco reappraising their stores (IIRC they built one somewhere and never opened it), so it was going to a Dunelm Mill and others but covid came along and killed that. What would have been odd is if it got refused, it's to the north west of the town presently only with an Aldi and a Co-op. Asda and Waitrose are either side of the town centre whilst Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Lidl are to the south east round to the east. The benefit if this one actually gets built should be less cross town traffic, obviously offset by those from other parts going to it.
