Well! I was going to fit a curtain pole above the front door but in all the excitement of unpacking it I seem to have lost the screes and rawl plugs !

Never mind ! They will turn up eventually . I will just have a break until they do ?

I shall have a sympathetic sit down too! Make a "to do" list. Always good to while away time.

I lost a part of my model car yesterday . I looked between the cushions on the settee and where I had been with my model . I almost gave up and then remembered that I had taken it outside to take some pictures of the transfers . I searched our back lawn on the route I would have taken and found it on the lawn . Panic over !
Those screws haven't turned up !

That would not be in line with standing instructions. Beds have to be remade immediately in line with local specification. Straight sheets, covers, neat, pillows plumped, sleeping attire stowed and all signs of previous occupation removed.

I have even had the bed being remade around me whilst I savour that special comfort that a warm bed affords.

With my Good lady not being mobile I'm in charge of all aspects relating to my bed and bedding, I tidy it when I'm getting washed and dressed, theres no sleeping attire I don't own any, my Good Ladies morning carer makes her bed and I change it once a week,.

I haven't owned a fountain pen since my last days in school in 1977. As far as I know, only me and my 2 years ahead of me school wise brother used turquoise 'Quink' ink. On my first day in history class (1972) the teacher on seeing my written in turquoise ink words asked if I was my brother's brother.

I used turquoise as well, back in the early '60s.

I rather like my fountain pens, never really cared for ball-point pens.

We had ink wells on each school desk and the responsible job of filling them was much coveted.

Started off wet and windy looking weather. However it cleared a bit but the rain is now hitting the conservatory roof.
Family have gone off to Glasgow so I am in charge of house, cat and dog. The kitchen door is kept firmly shut as the dog has a habit of liberating any food to be found. Even things supposed to be out of his reach and he made off with my lunch once just as I was about to go out cycling.
The cat Buffy is more discerning.
I noticed son carrying in a large blue object which turns out to be a travelling bicycle case. Not sure what this is for in that he could be taking a new bike out to Taiwan or perhaps bringing one back. He competes in events while out there working.
I have to wait for a phone call from a courier to arrange a delivery to me so don't want to go out driving to Oban for shopping and not be able to answer if driving. Don't know the name of the courier yet so cannot phone them instead.

:angry:Well! I would like to share some photos with you but since the last download on the computer it doesn't seem to exist !
We have discovered where they are ! It seems that the date on my camera isn't correct ! Grrr!
Bl **ding designers!
My old camera had a separate small battery which kept the date and things when you removed the main battery for charging . My Pentax K50D doesn't .
It also seems like the software on the laptop won't allow us to copy them when we've found them !
