Morning.
It is a bit frosty out . The Sun hasn't risen yet .
I am all bunged up and have a slight headache . At least I got some sleep last night. My cough is now a bark .

Do you need some Tea Tree oil?

Bright sunshine but temp only risen outside to 9C.
Got most of my trike problems sorted.
Went up to visit my wildlife pal to have backup if I got into a real pickle with the Kettwiesel. He was off on mainland for a couple of days but a mutual friend had brought his caravan over and was having a holiday on pal’s property. He used to live here and was in charge of electricity power lines for the whole north of Scotland.
He could not resist getting involved and was full of really helpful suggestions of a really helpful type.
Got the trike out and had a short test run but the hard part is refolding and getting it back into the Peugeot Partner.
We devised a method of getting it in unfolded, which while it works needs a bit of refining.
The front wheel sits around head height and the back wheels are wedged by bits of timber which just happened to be lying around.
Mostly a successful trial but lifted a weight off my mind.

It's a largely bright and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, not quite as breezy as yesterday, but that northerly sure does have a bit of a keen edge to it. Sun is nice and warm where it's sheltered.

Slept so-so. Wasn't quite warm enough, so the extra throw will have to go back on the bed tonight. Did have a nice indulgent lie-in this morning. And I finally washed my gardening jeans, although I forgot to take the kitchen roll I use in lieu of tissues out of the pockets, so I've been busy picking all the bits out of the washing machine drum. DOH!

Had a lovely luncheon of a ham, cheese and pineapple chutney sandwich, an apple, a pear and two :cuppa:

Need to re-stock the wood bins in the house, but other than that, I plan on a nice quiet afternoon puttering around on various projects and listening to the football on the radio.

Just heard some crack pot on the radio believing that using magnetic disks reversed her mothers kidney failure. Along with other "alternative" medicine as she called it fixed everything else wrong with her. Also fixed her criticality ill father months later.
Turns they still had been receiving medical help and medications. That what work love not the "alternative medicine" not sure what's worse. Allowing her air time, fact that she was not once challenged or lack of any form of balanced medical view point.

Reminds me a bit of a former friend who makes a living by selling whatever's on trend with the yummy mummies. In this particular case it was soy wax candles, which, amongst other things, she claimed burned without releasing any carbon.

I got unfriended on FB after I ran her through some basic chemistry and pointed out the relevant sections in the Sale of Goods act. She said I was ruining her business.

I was not responsible for the subsequent tangle with Trading Standards. Can't say I didn't warn her...

Turned out to be not a bad day , bright and sunny but cold. big improvement from this morning and the sun lifted my mood from the dark rainy day of yesterday. The washing has even been out and dried on the line spent a productive bit of time this afternoon. In the camper van removing the sticky mess left by the tape on the now repaired skylight. All in all a surprisingly satisfying result.
Now chicken sandwich time for me and chicken burgers for Mrs 73. Then best see to feeding the dog , bringing in the washing and closing up the skylight on the van.
