Cool, breezy and occasionally sunny here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well for the first half of the night, then needed a trip to the little girls' room, and then didn't sleep very much at all. So I feel like a right grumpy and mardy bag today. I have had a quiet morning catching up on some writing. I've got the ideas brewing for a poem, so have also been making notes for that.

Anyways, time for luncheon.

T'was on a Monday morning afternoon the Gas Men came to call.

:unsure: Will they have a Mole with them, or do they need to dig up part of my garden?

I think they are replacing the pipes up to the houses.

Up date on the Gas Men: they are not going to dig up the gardens, and yes they have a mole, or feed the new cable inside the old one. They will not have (a stinky noisy diesel) generator, because they have some kind of generator in their van.

They may need to get to the gas meter at the back of the garage. They said they would give me plenty of notice, which is good because the garage is rather full currently.

I asked them very politely to not park outside my house tomorrow, as I am expecting two tree fellers with a shredding machine.

A student sents an email saying "I live in flat 19 room 3" and she obviously thinks that we must know by default where is that address. Where's that flat 19? Kent? UK? Europe?
I honestly feel sorry for all parcel delivery companies because very often they end up with similar "address".
Still the winner is the student who couldn't remember his flat/room number after living there for 6 months. ^_^
A few weeks ago Mrs P and myself were walking away from Meanwood Park.We were stopped by a gas repair man.We do look old,he asked are you from round here.Yes can we help i am here to repair a boiler and this is the address. But i cannot find the house cum flat.So Mrs P puts the postcode in to her phone and up comes maps, its here we are outside it.I look up and there are three students looking out of a window, here i tells the guy knock on this door, guess what yes the flat. Why didnt these students keep a look out for a gas van and man after all he was only trying to get them warm.

Busy doing nothing kind of day.
My gastric reflux has been playing up the last few weeks and is a nuisance at best so I phoned the surgery to consult. Offered a face to face appointment at 3 o’clock so just took it.
Another stranger. We get so many different ones I never even try to remember the names.
This one had a different approach from most.
“I have been reading your notes, an interesting medical history I see”
Personally I prefer “ checkered ” but who am I to argue.
Result is I will get an appointment to Oban Hospital very soon to get tubes shoved down my throat which has happened to me twice before and the experience never gets better.
Somehow that possibility did not surprise me.

Had an interesting series of tweets with Nectar yesterday but just noticed the missing 328 points from an eBay bonus points offer in January have turned up. The classic tweet from them yesterday was that my card was only linked to eBay in early Feb despite me explaining how it had unlinked itself when I tried to activate further bonus points offer, and quite how then had I got points from eBay in Jan, Dec, Nov, Oct...

Had a lovely luncheon of tiger bread, smoked salmon terrine and manchego cheese, plus an apple, a pear and two :cuppa:

Then went out into the garden with the telescopic loppers and did some more on the mulberry's haircut. It's green bin this week, and there's still some space in there.

After, I did all the prep for tonight's supper.

Now sat with a :cuppa: and am watching the early evening news.
