Soup, then roast chicken, garlic & rosemary fondant potatoes and braised red cabbage. :hungry:

I do the chicken and the potatoes as a one tray thing, sitting the bird backbone up on the potatoes and pouring stock in the bottom. Cooks for the first hour under a foil lid, then I take the foil off, turn the chicken breast side up, season and drizzle with oil and let the whole shebang brown off for the remainder of the cooking time. Most of the fat on a chicken is on the backbone and pelvis, so doing this makes the bird completely self-basting. The potatoes then get crisped up in the oven while the chicken is resting.

Mesdames Poppy & Lexi enjoyed their share of the cooked chicken.

Caught three times, on two seperate Google StreeView cars today.
I'll be famous!

In other news, I've seen my third "23" registered car today. One of those being one of the StreetView cars.

I don't need a temperature sensor...

The baby Toyota now parked at my parents house but I won't transfer the insurance just yet as I want to fix and test the Czech patient in preparation for sale first before taking the insurance of it. That's if I can find a garage with emission testing gear which isn't booked for weeks in advance. So tempted just to to fit a new lambda sensor and try the test again to see what happens.

Looking out my front window there is a fair sized cargo boat heading north very slowly which appears to have a rigid flat bed lorry parked on the open deck. Unusual.
Back in the early - mid '80s, when Felixstowe used to have a loose/bulk cargo handling facility, there used to be a regular Russian service. It wasn't unusual to see the vessel sailing with scrap Ladas, Polski Fiats or similar vehicles picked up locally by the crew lashed to whatever spare part of the superstructure they could persuade the dockers to crane them on to.

I've seen 2 in the last week. One had its rig up so I might also make a street view appearance. I was the 4th white car in a row travelling east on the Embankment. The other had its rig down because it was in one of the Heathrow carparks. Big white EVs, both of them.

All three had the "tripod" and cameras on the roofs. Blue cars with Google and StreetView on them.

Eleven years since they were last round here. Fifth time in total I've been caught by one of them, and twice by TomTom camera cars.
