Bunn was actually involved in the Illinois Watch Company as well, but they are in Quincy now. Not a terribly far drive for me, by prairie standards. West side of the state, but Illinois is about the size of England proper.

Bunn was actually also involved behind the scenes with getting Lincoln in as president, which is likely why Illinois watch had Abe Lincoln grade movements

That was my exact thought when I saw that description on a watch forum... Mind bleach time, I do believe.

And in my case, lots of scrubbing with a brush and toothpaste. It's brilliant for getting stubborn muck off. Could do with some polywatch for the Zitura's crystal though, as it's a bit scratched.

Sorting out Middle Son's ticket to come and visit on Friday, so I won't have time for a ride this morning.

My bill arrived this morning - an additional £7 per month or 4.5% which, given the way other bills & prices are going up at the moment, isn't too bad.

Mind you, less than 12 months ago there's no way you'd have called 4.5% 'not too bad'

Must admit we expected it to be more so will take it

Finally beat Excel and managed to print a table without it adding 20 pages with one line of code. It took some time and I had to finally cut and paste the table as a picture into word, but it worked.

Of course it then randomly tried to add a code into the table and it took another five minutes to find how to delete it, but it wouldn't be Excel if it didn't do something like that at least once a day.
