Back home and mostly unpacked.
Despite being told by phone staff an earlier ferry was fully booked I went along early and spoke to the outdoor staff. An advantage of being a weel kent face paid off and they got me on somehow.
Forecast was for 100% rain and this was indeed correct.
A disadvantage of being parked by request beside the ferry passenger lift is that this lane is always last off. Not too bad a run home but a slow car in front of 4 would not pull over and let others past. I let one behind me past and they harassed them a bit to no result. We came to the double track and this latter one pulled out to overtake. Nearly unbelievable but the slow one in front tried to stop the overtake by massively increasing speed.
At this time of year traffic is about 80% local or workers and the rest tourist. In summer it is more like 98% tourist and hardly any local.
