Does it have a free extended warrenty offer? My R&H kettles flip lid stopped working almost on expiration of the free extended warrenty and they sent me a new one; you could still get the lid up but it was a bit awkward if it had just boiled. The switch lever on the replacment broke and although it did glue back together it eventually fractured even worse. Had the idea of swopping the parts between the two but the inside was that complex (!) I gave up and with the clock ticking towards shop closing time on a Sunday took a punt that Aldi might have something- which they did with an automatic 3 year warrenty.

I went out for a quick 10 mile bottle bank/shopping trip by bike this morning which was much harder the expected due to the strong breeze. Rather than face the wind again, I took the train when I went out for lunch. A hail storm hit just as I got to the shelter in the local station.

So long as nothing goes wrong on Saturday, I should be heading off to Snetterton for the first race meeting of the year (Classic Sports Car Club). I've given up on the idea of Silverstone on Sunday as it's due to be quite cold and there's no real shelter from the predicted northerly breeze. At least if the weather turns on Saturday, I can sit in the car and still see a little bit or be home in just under an hour.
