Now, just before I left the buffet, a couple came in and sat down. The walk up buffet had already finished, but they will still serve you a 'buffet', only at your table, with freshly cooked food (arguably better than the standard buffet anyway).

So they sat, ordered drinks and food... And then left, without touching anything.

Cue confusion when the food arrived. I had assumed they had gone for a smoke or something, but no, one of the delivery drivers saw them drive away.

Why do that?! 🤷

Lovely supper of homemade meatball marinara pizza.

OK, I used the ciabatta I bought on YS as a cheat base; sliced it open and drizzled it with some EVOO before loading it with topping. Bloody fabulous, I shall be doing that again.

A much better day today with a nice, steady drive down to Brand Hatch and back (apart from the 3 long roadworks sections on the A12 that is), some good racing and I remembered the coffee jar this time. Bright and sunny for most of the day, but the morning was still wooly hat & gloves in the cold breeze.

Must get into town early on Monday morning to get some food for me and an 18th birthday card for my step niece (which I can deliver on the way home) and then do a bit of tidying and faffing around the house before the smart meter fitting some time after midday. So long as I'm not needed for anything I hope to get a bit of gardening/weeding done while the fitter is working indoors.

Don't. My BIL has started wearing flat caps and he's not 50 yet. It will by pvc slippers next.

I said to Mr Cookiemonster that he has permission to beat the sh*t out of me if I even look at a flat cap or slippers.

Garden birds have been fed and first arrival was a blackbird closely followed by a little black cat but when the pigeons arrived he soon scampered off

We're on a train in Skipton. A chap with an electric bike has been turned back because ours were on already.
