Apparently you shouldn't feed a dog daffodils.

Poisonous, the bulbs are and I presume the rest of the plant as well.

Yes that's what the article said but I wouldn't have thought too many would feed daffodils to a dog and I doubt a dog would eat them anyway. I suppose if you had bulbs lying around, a young pup might chew on them.

Work at home day so for part of lunchtime ebiked to the office The reason for this madness was to sell my unwanted and hardly used 11-30 cassette to a colleague who will be on leave for a couple of weeks at least . £25 seemed a good offer given the postage cost would most likely wipe out any better offer elsewhere.

You're also supposed to wear gloves when planting them, I believe..

My telephone call to the pension service only took 13 minutes & 25 seconds to complete, including the 'press options' bit and the blurb about how important my call is and how they record messages for training porpoises.

Mild here chez Casa Reynard, and currently dry, though it was rather soggy earlier. More showers forecast for this afternoon.

Slept well, and spent the morning re-writing a piece of research on the history of a particular racing car. I'd recently added some new information and some observations based on that information, and as a result, some sections had gotten a bit muddled. I know it's still very much a work-in-progress as there is still stuff I cannot pin down, but I do like to keep things a) readable and b) logical.

I will have to try and get mum's meds from the surgery dispensary this afternoon, as they are shut from this evening through till Tuesday morning. Good job I put her prescription in a couple of days early, and good job I had the presence of mine to check the surgery website, as there was nothing on the notice board. She has enough meds till Tuesday, but it's cutting it fine as there was a poster advising of delays. Will have to try, though.

Other than that, I plan on a quiet day.

There have been stories of people making themselves ill by mistaking Daffodil bulbs for onions, I'm not sure how.
