Lunchtime and I could feel newly exposed gum due to removed tooth aching slightly so went for the new pack of paracetamols that were on the sofa only to find them missing. Had a further look later on but still could not find them.
Bought another pack this evening, moved a paper that was on the sofa and which had been moved in earlier searches only to find the original pack! What the! How!

Greater Anglia have rejected my 'delay repay' claim for yesterday's missed connection due to the delay not being on one of their trains, so have passed it on to East Midlands Railway. The ticket was purchased through Greater Anglia's website and both companies are run by Abellio so why not deal with it internally?

Home now. I saw The sound of music and I have to say it was brilliant.

The world's most long-drawn out roadwork project continues to play havoc with traffic. They seem to close the dual carriageway way for no obvious reason these past few nights and send all the traffic on to a road which is barely wide enough for two cars to pass.

The project to add pavements, a cycle path and a central reservation to 0.8KM of road has only taken about four years so far, latest delay due to the bridge being too narrow. The bridge has been there since about 1970 so surely the council have had enough time to measure it's width by now.
They'll have used feet and inches back then, now they'll be using metres and centimetres.

Simple conversions from one to the other won't be accurate enough. Genuine reason given when the local main road was being resurfaced. The council officer "in charge" couldn't get his head round feet and inches.

It looks like stage 5 the Tour of Britain will be finishing in Felixstowe this year with the indications being that the finish wil be along Sea Road which is where the ladies race finished in 2021. As it's on a Thursday (and depending on the expected finish time), I may take a couple of hours off work and catch the finish.

The best part of the ladies race was that they'd set the team buses and post race pit facilities up in a large open space so you could walk round and have a good look at the bikes

Another nice sunny day but with stronger NE wind.
Not noticed any extra activity at the police station where they normally have a couple of vans from the mainland and extra personnel for the music festival.
I was told by a local polis they they hoped for rain as rain was the policeman's friend at events such as this. It contained the trouble indoors and stopped too many wandering drunks causing problems at random.
Not doing anything much today and now need to go and see if the washing machine has done it's stuff.
