Sore back is slowly getting better and I've the offer of a free check, which I've taken up. Still on painkillers and no exercise so this weekend's 400km audax is a major doubt.

Doing a hospital visit today to my mum, who's keeping going much longer than predicted but has had a minor operation last week which hasn't quite gone as planned. If having an expanding metal spring put down your throat can be termed 'minor'? She's been kept in for the past few days as a result.

So, I'm picking up son no. 1 for the visit, then after dropping him back I'm off to collect son no. 2's TT bike from my parents house where he left it yesterday.

just cleaning the windows. Amazingly enough, I'd looked at a window cleaning pole kit but it seemed no one had one in stock so I'm doing it the normal, manual way.
I say amazing because our daughter rang mid session and asked...have you got a window cleaning pole ?
What a co incidence. We're now going halves on a good one between us

And more parallel universe weirdness. Following my daughters desire to get a window cleaning pole on the day I was pondering the same....she then tagged me in a FB post of some photos she had taken of Red Kites today.
I have been doing the same. Wierd.

Turned out to be a lovely sunny warm day. First time this year I have had to take my jacket off while outside.
My back is still giving problems so did not want to risk taking the trike out of the car tho' I have brought the ramps back into use to give less lifting and more pushing. I have a trip off island on Thursday so do not want problems before that.
Sat in my sheltered corner in the sunshine and my nearest neighbour's new labrador puppy wandered into my garden and found a patch of non alcohol guinness I had spilled on a flagstone while opening a can. Licked the lot up, left the flagstone spotless and looked at me for more. No chance.

I did an oil and filter change on my wife's car this afternoon . I think I must have saved about £5 by not fitting a new sump plug .
