Yes, that's the bunch. Anyone else ever had to represent their industry there?
I'll fees up to being a Christian Democrat, but could never see too much difference in the banality of the Reds or the Blues.

50 years ago you needed a fresh liver, spare kidneys, a company credit card and hollow legs with the capacity to do without sleep for what seemed like a lifetime.
Snouts in trough sums it up.

But the first song I learned at 3 years of age was the red flag.

Points of order, comrade.

The biggest problem is the RCN is both a Royal collage and a union. Which can’t quite bring its self to admit it’s a problem. At the same time having to maintain a political neutral stance. Hence unlike RCM it’s not a member of TUC. All this is playing out with a membership that’s had enough of being ignored by its management.
As for the rest delegates get very little out the trough inc a total ban on alcohol at events and the one dinner they get free.

Excellent Ken Hom recipe chicken n cashew nut quoffed earlier. The lad nailed it with his 2000 book, it all sounds too simple but tastes amazing.

One problem with that for me... I'm allergic to cashew nuts 🤮

A rather warm and mostly grey day here chez Casa Reynard, the odd spit and spot of rain, but it never progressed beyond that.

Slept well, had a quiet morning, a quick bite to eat and then toddled off to Tesco to do the bank holiday afternoon yellow sticker lurk. No other regulars other than one chap who turned up just as I was leaving. Other than the odd opportunist, I pretty well had first dibs on everything. Green bins and ISB were a bust, but good pickings to be had otherwise.

Came home with salmon fillets, hake fillets, fish pie mix, brown shrimp, a kilo of ham, two kilos of butter, salad onions, watercress, spring greens, mushrooms, raspberries, blueberries, plums, tangerines, a job lot of apples, along with naan bread, rotis, wholemeal rolls, brioche, HCB, two fruit loaves and a pack of toasting muffins.

Now just having a quiet evening watching some bits on the i-player.

New (to me) bike collected. I'm not supposed to be buying, but couldn't resist this one. More details tomorrow when it's light but for now the frame number now I've cleaned underneath following what seems to be quite long-term storage ...

It looks like everything sort of works except the right-hand Shimano 105 / 1055 8 speed shifter.

Virtual cake for anyone who can guess who the Yorkshire-based builder is ...

Paul Milne's, Ellis Briggs, Clarke?

Edited to ask, what's the lighter line on the rear of the bottom bracket?
