I was fitting up my Falcon Professional this morning hoping to have it ready for a test ride later. I had a set of brake cables, I had already fitted the front brake cable and was about to fit the rear. I measured the cable making sure that I had enough left I didn't want to cut it too short . I threaded the cut end up into the brake lever and through the outer. I pulled the cable through to the brake caliper but wondered why it didn't want to locate in the lever ! I looked into the lever to see that the nipple was barrel shaped not pear shape like it should have been . Doh!
I had cut the wrong end off!

Nice 12 and a bit mile utility ride completed to drop off some hard plastic recycling stuff at local supermarket via the scenic route.

Morning .
It is sunny here. I have put our garden waste bin out for collection.
Yesterday I went up to look at the sand I had put down in the Hedgehog feeder. There were loads of small paw prints .little pads on each foot just like a kittens . No large prints to suggest that our cat has crawled in for an extra snack .

Hazy sunshine just now but rain forecast by afternoon.
Just got my new etickets from Calmac so I have printed them out as I do not have absolute confidence in electronic devices.
I seem to be pretty old as they have printed my date of birth as 01/01/1900.
Mind you I sometimes feel that old.
Off soon to what my wife called " That hell hole" in Craignure for a covid vaccine.

Well, survived early hospital drop off yesterday. Then the exercise club and a bikey rendezvous with management and B.i.L in a pub garden. Outdoor lunch and cycle home via Vanessa.
She was happy, sunbathing.
Then ZOOM training, tedious beyond belief. Two hours of Jobsworth on school governance. Required a formidable G&T to aid recovery.
Have to move now to get TLC running.
