It's been a warm-ish and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept really well, and then had a kitchen morning. There is a curry simmering away in the crock pot.

Had a lovely luncheon of a sandwich with lox & a schmear, an apple, a banana and two :cuppa:

Spent the afternoon gardening. This including faceplanting in a patch of nettles. My face is now very... tingly.

Now sat with a :cuppa: and a 2 finger kit kat.

I think you deserve an extra KK.

Speaking of cacti.

Do you not have stinging nettles in the USA? They have to be one of the most common weeds in the UK.

giggle says:
Burning nettle, Urtica urens, is also known as dwarf nettle or small nettle. It is native to Europe, but in the United States is common in many eastern states and a few central states. It also occurs in the Western United States, including Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.

can't say that I've run into them personally. in my area the plant we watch out for is poison ivy

I appear to have some form of lurgy so I went to the doc's and got a prescription for an Asthma spray.

When I went to the pharmacy to pick it up, it turned out the pharmacist is the mum of an intern I had a few months ago; we'd not met but she recognised my name from the prescription, so I got a update on how they're doing.

One of the nice things about working in a small town...

And the thistle, and poison oak, and in some places, hogweed.

Currently trying to open an online banking account as my bank is pushing it. I have no expectation of this actually working on past experience and so far I haven't been surprised.

By eldest boy went with Starling, after multiple attempts at opening an account here in the UK ended without success. Not sure if you can get one in Germany though.

Guess what? It hasn't worked.

Tried to register again: "This login and password are already registered"

Colour me surprised.

I have an account, they want me to switch it to an online account, but if they want that they have to make it possible for mere mortals to access...
