Another much needed weekend begins. Not been a physically busy week like the previous one, but I've had to do more thinking than I like to do - swapping roles every few minutes, queries, problem solving, etc - but it's been oddly enjoyable.

Not that I'll be getting much rest over the next few days - there are plans to head to Cambridge on Friday to get away from the constant cold breeze coming in off or down the North Sea, then Ipswich in the evening for Coach Party at The Smokehouse, Saturday really ought to be grass cutting and car washing day and then off to Snetterton on Sunday.

How about this for getting a hospital appointment.
Seen by GP in March, they referred me to one of the local hospitals, specialist.
Letter arrived two weeks after being referred, giving me all the information needed for me to make the appointment myself. Done over the phone, and told that the hospital has their own booking system, so they'll make the appointment, not the person on the other end of the phone or me. They would however pass the details on to the hospital, to make the appointment booking.
Hospital sends out a letter the following week saying they have received the referral and will make the appointment. Informing me of the appointment time, date and location.
Received a text message late yesterday , with a link for me to follow, to allow me to make the appointment that the hospital were going to make. Sender doesn't support replies, so unable to query it yesterday.
Link got me 'Access Denied", meaning I'd to phone the general switchboard to get put through to appointments. They confirmed that I'd no need to make any appointment as it had already been made for me. Letter in the post giving the details.

Appointment confirmed for the end of June, but I've to wait for the full details in the letter. Originally classed as "urgent" in March!

Seems about right currently.

I was referred as "urgent" by my GP in September 2021, transferred to a private provider in January 2022, received a letter from the private provider in June 2022 and only seen in January this year for an initial consultation.
