Very low cloud so a bit drizzly for a while this morning but it has now mostly cleared up.
Nothing really useful done today tho’ I did make some pancakes and since I do not like it much I put in
a couple of spoonfuls of lemon and lime marmalade. Worked out ok tho’ all my experiments are not always successful.
Ferry woes continue as one of the boats doing Fishnish/Lochaline has broken down and the one left is not doing the last run at 1835 and the return at 1900. Nasty if you are already well down the road as doubtful if any accommodation at either side and a long way back.
I think you currently have to produce written evidence of Mull residence to get priority on the Craignure /Oban crossing and no non residents can join the standby queue either. Since most utility bills are now digital only this could cause problems. A driving license does have the address but the photo on mine is pretty old and not really very like my current appearance.

Old Wheels appearance has changed Is it possible Lord Lukan is alive and well and living on the Isle of Mull as our friend Old wheels.

Weather been wet overnight but now looks like clearing a bit.
The usual spats on FB about the ferry situation.
Today only Calmac announce just turn up at Craignure and get a ferry with no booking tho' the way it is worded seems a bit ambiguous. They also are encouraging all to go via the other two small ferries but this can be a long detour. The touroid generally seem to think driving an extra 100 miles plus via Lochaline or Kilchoan is lovely but those with appointments in Oban have a different view.
The settlers generally love tourists since they are like themselves and they make money out of them but more local and native people have a diifferent view. We manage perfectly well before the infestation of settlers and touroid but they think the world revolves round them.

Good morning all from a partly cloudy Suffolk. Slight change of plans for the weekend - car washing and grass cutting has been put off until Monday due to the forecast of cold weather and a stiff breeze so I will be making the best of today's good weather with a slow bike bimble later on.

Been to the recycling site before the bank holiday queues. It'll be £3.50 for the basin said the attendant asking if I still wanted to dispose of there. Not exactly discouraging roadside tipping with that question. Dutifully paid so that it could be deposited in the loosely fenced off 'Building Rubble' skip. Did also mean the ebike missed its visit to the cycle stands at Waitrose today.
