I sold an old bird bath on fb marketplace.
I've now got enough £££ for another 45 links of my new bike chain 😎

I wonder how many chains you would have to buy before you end up with a free chain ?
I normally have to remove several links to fit my bikes .
Perhaps they could set it as a maths question for exams ?

Right managed to haul my backside out of the bed to make a cuppa which is going down well.
Whilst I was down stairs I fed the awaiting starlings and associated birds with some seed spread around the garden and also retrieved the empty hog food tray from the feeding station.

I saw a Jay today in a nearby field. 🐦

Somehow that reminds me of the time we had an exotic bird flying around here for a few weeks. Caused the twitchers great excitement.
Turned out to be a herring gull a couple of fishermen had caught and used food dye to smarten it up.

I'm off to the Suffolk coast today and I've been looking at the forecasts - it's a good 10C cooler than in London. I'm wondering what clothes to wear.

Based on this morning you should be OK with shorts & a t-shirt (or similar), but you may want to bring a light fleece just in case the wind picks up this afternoon.

Hot already today.
It has been too hot to encourage me to get the trike out for a run but I may try later to go a different route from usual.
Some touroid renting a house on the Glengorm road reports getting a hen house door left by a carrier. It is in fact the first house beyond the correct destination but about 3 miles further on.
Talking of trouroid we have got fed up with holiday house wheely bin getting in our way and being unsighly. It had been there for over a week so somebody threw it back inside their gate where it still lies but at least out of the way.

Good morning from a sunny and warm Suffolk. Up and about a few minutes early this morning so an extended commute was done by taking in a bit of inland countryside before heading for the coast and work. First cuppa done & dusted and already had to exercise the grey matter to point out to an agent that their import declaration for a well known shop chain was about £10k short of what it should have been.

An expensive morning booking trips in August/October, made more expensive because I'd normally book these in February/March and accommodation's a bit limited as a result:

Trip 1 with son no. 2 - trip to World Track Championships in Glasgow. We'll be staying part way to test-ride the national hillclimb up The Struggle . One we've had a test-ride I'll decide whether I'm as stupid as he is in taking part.

Trip 2 with SWMBO - to Cavan in Ireland for a family birthday. Apparently I've got to come along. One night in Dublin, then Cavan and N. Ireland visits.

Trip 3 with son no. 2 - to Dublin for the Irish track nationals August bank holiday weekend

Trip 4 with son no. 2 - to Ambleside for the national hillclimb championship

Bonnie couldn't actually say the words in 'Human' how disgruntled she was about me taking her to the vets to have her ears sorted so she threw up in the car on the way home to make the point instead...

Frustrating day so far.
Went to go out on the trike.
Flat rear tyre.
Turns out to be a tiny nail through the Marathon Plus. The head had worn off and I could not get a grip to pull it out.
Tried the inside and the bit sticking through broke off leaving a bit in the tread. Light was very frustrating as I could not get the sun shining on the nail bit inside the tyre to see it better with the tyre flopping around.
Tried pushing through with probably no success. Probably because there was nothing tangible to see by this time so no idea whether the offending piece has gone or not.
There was a tube patch nearby on the inside of the tyre put there by the previous owner and I wonder if he had the same problem and this nail has been lurking there waiting since before I got the trike.
At least there is one positive. It gives me practice taking a rear tyre off without removing the wheel. Not difficult and even the M Plus went off and on again with no problem. New tube in and fingers firmly crossed.
Need to go and test it but not too far from base.
One other problem was getting attached by clegs while doing all this.
You may have a different name for them but they are persistent bloodsuckers about medium fly size.
