Manchester Bay, Manchester MA, white shark spotted feasting on a seal. well, that's North of the cape so they can be anywhere now

I watched a bit of the film Casino Royale last night. Couldn't understand it! But I noticed them playing Baccarat and wondered what the rules were ! It's a bit like Pontoon but different!

James Bond plot? um yeah, they were never great for for that. I always watched for the car, gadgets, stunts & impossible escapes & women

and the quotes
"do you expect me to talk?" "no Mr Bond, I expect you to die" priceless

Sunny and scorchio here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but woke up too early, so read the news on my phone before getting up. This morning's tasks included making a batch of tabbouleh for later, sorting out the parental unit's bedside lamp and adding more hazel canes (taller and less brittle than bamboo) to the line-up of ever-growing triffids. The latter meant soaking the ground with several gallons of water before it was soft enough to pound the supports in with a mallet. As they are so tall - well, compared to me - it's a stepladder job.

My new watch has arrived too, but I haven't unpacked it yet.

I plan on doing some grass cutting this afternoon, as there's a lot I can do that's in the shade under the trees.

Got some money off vouchers from Tesco in the post the other day - the spend x and get y off kind. The one with the biggest discount (£9 for a £60 spend) expires on Sunday, so I shall pop to Tesco tomorrow and use that to stock up on cat food. it works out as 75p off per box of 12 pouches if I buy a dozen boxes.

Anyways, it is time for luncheon.

The tyre I changed the tube on and had a problem removing the cause of the puncture has gone soft. Cannot surely be punctured as it would go down faster in my experience anyway. Porous tube seems unlikely. Seems to have held pressure all day so far but I am waiting on two new tyres so cannot be bothered fiddling with it as they are in transit somewhere and should be here soon.
Too hot to sit in my garden so went down by car to sit on a bench seat designed by a sadist near the marina with a cooling breeze. The design is such that the bars on the back are very uncomfortable to lean on.

The sump plug on my Peugeot Tepee had a worn gasket and threads according to the mechanic. Could not question further as they are extremely busy and have little time to spare on idle chat.

While sitting there an outer isles ferry came past so took a picture of part of the scenery in front of me.

We watched "A Place in the Country " the other day . People were moving to Guernsey. People moving there from outside have to pay double what the locals do for housing . It would be a good idea for other places to adopt .
