Started off hot and sunny again but now clouding over with forecast thundery showers.

My new shorts are ok in the waist but about one and a half inches too long so I think a needle and thread session is coming along. Might leave them for a bit to settle so to speak before shortening and perhaps a wash might do the job anyway.
I was taught how to sew properly at an early age and that skill comes in handy as nearly every pair of trousers I buy are too long and need turned up. I do have several sewing machines, modern and antique but it is just as quick to do the job by hand.

Sitting peacefully near the marina yesterday I was startled to find someone bellowing in my ear.
I responded "Pardon" which brought forth the gem "Nice and peaceful here isn't it?"
It was indeed until that idiot appeared but fortunately wandered off when I did not give an expected response.
Typical of one type of touroid.

Lochaline/Fishnish ferry having battery problems yesterday afternoon. Nightmare to drive down there to Lochaline and find no working ferry.
They got that fixed eventually but had a power cut overnight so the batteries were not charged by morning so more delays.
It must have been a different boat but one had a propellor driven charger with which the strong tide there charged the battery overnight. One night they forgot to lower it down so in the morning no battery power.

Yesterday morning I mowed front and back lawns - both resembling cow pastures and needing a shave.

Mrs Tummy and I spent yesterday afternoon at a bbq organised by Tummy daughter 1 to celebrate her husband's and Tummyson's birthdays and fathers day for those in the family that qualify.

Stupidly I forgot to put the electric mower away and it has been rained on!! Hopefully I can dry it out in the sunshine.

Did a sweat test this morning. Basically weigh yourself when naked and holding your full water bottles. Other customers in Boots may complain but don’t worry. Then go do your ride. Then when you get back, weigh yourself naked with water bottles again, after drying yourself off. Divide weight loss by number hours you were out. Revealed my sweat rate was 1.1L per hour. Humidity 65%.

Don't you need to have calories burnt to account for weight loss?

I couldn't find any reference to calories, Kcal, or burn(t,-ed). Energy appears once but only referring to energy content in fluids consumed. But as I've got a slight sight migraine today I might have missed something.

During exercise lasting 0.5–4.0 h, body mass change (ΔMb) is the most commonly used representation of body water change [120,121] because most of body weight loss is water loss, muscle and adipose tissue losses are negligible, and ΔMb has a measurement resolution of ±0.1 L (e.g., 100 mL out of a 42–47 L total body water volume) when using a floor scale that reads to ±100 g. Within the time frame of 0.5–4.0 h, ΔMb essentially equals water loss (i.e., when corrected for the mass of fluid and food intake, urine output, and sweat loss), because no other body constituent is lost at a similar rate [120,122].

that may be my future. eye doc tomorrow. haven't been in 11 years, any suggestions?

Be honest about what you can and cannot see. Don’t guess or struggle, just to get another letter or line. Just say you can’t make it out, may be a d or p etc. There is no advantage to trying to cheat. Having a good pair of glasses to the correct prescription can transform how you see the world. Sadly too many go about their business with uncorrected faulty eyesight.
