The ''shoot them as vermin, sell them as food'' procedure has a very farmyard smell to it, though.

There used to be one butcher in Oban who sold rabbits but he is now long gone.
I used to shoot them locally with the landowners permission here but I gave up my .22 air rifle when they had to be registered. Too much hassle involved. They are still free of such regulation in England andWales I think.

Wet and windy weather today so a good job I got the trike tyres fitted yesterday in sunshine.
Cooking and baking inside today and a lot will go into the freezer.
Booked a trip off island at the local office instead of online.
The whole thing is a bit of a nightmare as the tickets issued are inflexible and can only be used on the booked sailing. If you do not get that boat for whatever reason the ticket is invalid for any other sailing. In the past the tickets were valid for a month and you could change bookings with the same ticket.
Don't know what happens if the sailing is cancelled by Calmac. I imagine the ticket is cancelled and you would have to apply for a refund and get another ticket.
On the Outer Isles as well as here motorhomes are getting more obtrusive and causing lots of problems and there are all sorts of opinions on what is best to do with them. Massive surcharge seem favourite.

Ah, but I'll have 400+ eager new students by then to man the barricades ...
See that you've just been picked up by some of your students.

Sat in the vets with our youngest ragdoll for her vaccinations. She usually travels well with the others, not on her own. Howling all the way, and now whilst waiting.

oh boy, that must have been awkward. did you try singing to it? maybe that would have been more awkward

I only ask because 40 yrs ago I rescued a young cat from a shelter for my Mom to replace our last childhood cat that she had to put down. I had to drive it 200 miles to my parents' house. the cat meowed loudly almost the whole time & my singing to it the whole way kind of helped, but it was funny. my parents refused the feline gift, so I had to drive 200 miles back to my tiny apartment, again singing the whole way. kinda funny. "Rita" wound up having a good long 19 yr life with me, my future Wifey, her cat & after marriage, our new children

I've just driven another 70 miles to Wales with all four cats, not a single meow. She's fine with her older siblings. Sat in the same box as her big bro.
