No its not OK, they are buying it for someone who is underage to use not for themselves.

It is not OK but the shopkeeper is not to know as they only see the legal person and may not be aware of the circumstances.

Cool and overcast here chez Casa Reynard.

I did not sleep well. Just couldn't drift off / get comfortable, and so I only dozed at best. Ergo I've been a right grumpypants this morning. Ah well, hey ho. Did some puttering about in the garden as there's rain forecast for this afternoon. Whether it will actually turn up is another matter. if it doesn't, I shall take the mower out and do some grass cutting.

Both the girls are indoors, napping. I don't think they're overly impressed by the lack of sunshine.

I have an itchy back, so I shall have to go and find the backscratcher thingy.

And it is almost time for luncheon.

Where the raindrops had landed there were either little circular craters or small circular mounds. We worked out that the crater's were caused by the impact of the raindrop but wondered if the mound was caused by the sand absorbing the water and swelling up . It looked very strange seeing all of the sand covered in small dots .

Nope, that'll be the sand displaced by the impact of the water droplets as a result of kinetic energy being converted to explosive energy - basically a very small version of what happens when an asteroid hits the moon, for example. The impact of the water droplet will lift the grains of sand into the air, and then they'll fall back under the combined influence of the force of the impact and the action of gravity, thus creating the raised areas.

Rain battering off my front windows again this morning and forecast to continue all day.

The latest thing on our local FB is the problem of EV cars charging using extension leads from domestic sockets. Your insurance is invalid if there is an incident caused by this.
Touroid of course think they are entitled to do whatever they want and much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the holiday home brigade and B&B lot.

Going out shortly as I have an appointment with a sharp needle at the surgery.

Many camp sites with EHU now have it added to T&C that charging EV is not allowed. The 2 main clubs are slowly fitting EV charge points to some sites. This is going to be a real issue for smaller sites in the future many with EHU due to location wont be able to upgrade supply quick enough if at all. Add in many to save money are now downgrading supply to 10A or lower a big mess is coming that won't be fixed over night.

I was a member of both main clubs for many years but gave up when I sold my last motorhome as any limited camping I would be likely to do would cost less overall as a non member.

Working on the till in Halfords any product which had solvent in came up with an age challenge thing . If you thought that the person looked under 18 you would have to ask for proof that they were old enough . The store and myself could get done for selling solvent based products to under age people .
What numpties write laws these days whereby children can be given dangerous products free?

That's the problem no one has write a law or more to point no minister has used ministerial executive power to change the current law.
It's current example of law not keeping up with changers.

We are members of the "friendly club" but only us the CS or temp district ones. Big sites don't appeal to us we like small out the way ones, big rallies are ok as they are well spaced out.

We were members of both because of the different locations. Dingwall which was a good cycling base is C&CC but Garlieston in Wigtonshire which I also used as a base is CC.
Forfar is also a good base and is CC but takes a few tents.
We frequently used well run sites belonging to the Wood Leisure group which were expensive but Balloch was a short walk to the railway station for Glasgow visits and Deeside at Aberdeen was used for visits to our eldest son who lived in a small top floor flat in Aberdeen city centre.
