Had a good laugh watching a pigeon fighting it's own reflection on the window.

Pigeons are quite dopey birds, aren't they! Have you seen them building a nest? The just keep chucking sticks it a tree until a few stay together 😅

Yep everything worked and what didn't got flushed en route.
First cuppa going down well.
Another overcast day outside but dry.

A bit damp out this morning. Looks like someone must have crashed through the fence outside overnight but oddly enough, I didn't hear anything.

Time for my perambulation. Umbrella required. ☔

Just had a magpie come and land on the window ledge and look in , it was a bit nervous

Another 25 miles on the single speed. Nice evening despite the forecast being for rain.

The council have been busy ruining another of my routes by putting loose chippings on top of a perfectly good road surface. Nice to see them spending my money wisely.

I hate it!
All the effort we go to in reducing CO2 can be ruined by them laying miles of thick coarse gravel. You can feel the extra effort needed to ride through the stuff so the same thing affects vehicles, they require more power and so produce more pollution .

Today I was in the shower with the strange man.

I hasten to add that we were both fully clothed. He needed to make sure that the grab rail was at the right height for me in the shower.

It is to be noted that tomorrow I will not be up on the roof with a different strange man.

Is this some new strange dating agency that you have signed up to ?

You should have seen the ones which tried building a nest in our neighbour's cherry tree. As you say the ground was full of twigs that they had so carefully placed in the tree. Our neighbour cut down the tree so the following year the Wood Pigeons returned to the same spot where the tree was and walked around looking up wondering where the tree was !

Four mile perambulation completed.

I donned my deerstalker and magnifying glass, fired up the briar and my analysis tells me that the fence was broken by a silver BMW, c2008 3 series I think, as half of the grill and part of the bumper is still there. Mounting the pavement seems to have torn most of the underbody plastics off too.

Somebody leaving a mess for other people to clear up as usual.

I think I see the mornings getting darker already, or maybe it’s just the low cloud we have here.

Aye the nights are fair drawin in. I had to put my lights on to get breakfast this morning.

I use the XC weather app on the phone and thats showing 15-16 degrees on Monday

My app says 13c & rain starting in 86 minutes.

Wet this morning but does not seem to be actually raining yet. Just seems to be water hanging in the air waiting on a victim to sink into.

The tale about a pigeon fighting it's own refection reminds me of when a tup began to batter it's reflection in the side of my van.
I managed to get the dent out and that is one reason I don't go in for car polishing too much.

Last day of school here so the ferries tomorrow are booked solid off at any rate. All trying to escape the terrible weather we are having these days.
