It is reassuring to know that it is not just me affected by lots of noise. I will have a quiet weekend. The next (planned) noise is the electrician installing all the wires for the solar panels.

Btw why are they called solar panels and not photovoltaic panels?

Probably the same reason we talk about batteries not cells.

It's windy as usual at Darley Moor. Watching the 2/3/4 race:

Maybe they're fed up of being moaned at, so decided to see what folk do when they're not open for one day.
Maybe it's shut for personal reasons, they or a family member is ill. It does happen now and again.

This happens quite often but just got other things to do. It seems to be run as a hobby but it used to be a serious business with a constant stream of traffic. The one at Lochaline seems to stay open with no problem.
If you run a business which people come to rely on you cannot just swan off when you feel like it.
There is a shop on the way to Iona who act similarly and shut at random if it is a nice day and they cannot be bothered opening.

Fence stakes went in a bit too easy on one of the slightly rocking fence posts which is still rockable albeit a touch less. The other, only a few inches away and older, is partly hidden by a climbing plant that has not done anything for years but has grown crazilly this year. With access limited I had put the other stakes on the next seemingly currently okay fence post of the same age . Decideded I do somehow need to put some on the other rocking fence so two more stakes ordered in teh hope taht by staking both in close proximitry it will tighten up.
