Had a lovely luncheon of two slices of wholemeal toast, one with filet americain, one with the last of the burrata cheese, plus a banana, a nectarine and two :cuppa:

After lunch, took out the sledgehammer, rolled up my sleeves and took out about six feet of the concrete that had pulled away from the wall. Another 12 feet to go. Tapped the loose bricks back into place and blocked off the new rat hole / wedged everything in with some scraps of paving slab I found in the "pile of useful masonry" stashed behind the garage.

After the weekend I shall go to Jewson to get a sack of cement and a few other gubbins so that I can repair everything properly. And then will gradually work my way along the wall, repointing and adding a new layer of external render.

My treat was sitting in my camping chair listening to FP2 from Silverstone on my phone.

Now sat with a :cuppa: and a chocolate biskit.

I'm having a choco break & a coffee. I might have a doze shortly.

It's World Chocolate Day today.

I'm back from haddock and chips (églefin frites) on the Whitstable seafront, watching small clouds bubbling up over the Isle of Sheppey, followed by mango and raspberry sorbet from the gelateria. Low 30s. Also bought some rather intriguing smoked salmon pastrami. That'll do for tomorrow.

There were lots of flying ants around today. Quite a few of them perished on the windscreen.

Oh, that sorbet sounds utterly lush @deptfordmarmoset :hungry:

I adore mango and I adore raspberries.

The ones that congregate on the brow of a hill, just at that point when you realize you're up it and you take a deep breath resulting in you getting an extra meat ration.
