Up at the crack of dawn this morning to go and retrieve a camera trap from a newly-re-opened badger sett half a mile away. The scheming little blighters have opened 4 holes, with great piles of newly excavated soil..........and then not moved in! It was obviously just a ploy to keep me from finding out where they are living. I've spent 3 evenings in the last week or so watching the sett, and seen nothing. Now I know why.

Morning walk is off so only just been outside it's a bit on the cold side and very misty. Charlie's just about up but can't decided what to do. At least he's eaten most of his breakfast. He's clearly not a happy bunny hopefully the vet can sort him out later today.

Sunny intervals we are told but the only one so far was for a few minutes when I got out of bed. Cloudy since then.
Not feeling too bright this morning as I had annoying leg pains overnight and had to get up for some paracetamol which did help. My right shoulder is also giving bother.
Feels a bit like a rheumatic condition I had a few years ago and had a course of very noxious pills which did eventually clear it.
When I got up for the paracetamol I discovered a large slug crawling over my kitchen sink so that got dumped in the toilet and flushed off. Cannot see where they are getting into the house but they can get through surprisingly small apertures.

Happy Easter 🐰

Looks like we've been blessed with some more rain. ☔

Clocks all corrected. The buttons on my rather ancient Casio watch are getting rather sticky and unco-operative. I should probably strip it and clean it, or maybe a tiny blast of WD40.

I will make one of my infrequent Church visits.

Aldi didn't have everything I wanted so the ebike had another outing to the nearest Lidl. The ability to understand what cycle stands are for was obviously lost on the staff there as in the majority they were in use as compost bag bays:banghead:
It looked like they hadn't sold any of the cycling mitts.

There are a lot of people who use bikes for shopping here; the staff would soon be informed of their error if they did something as silly as that.

My European time signal analogue clock has, as usual, not yet corrected Itself. A digital one has. Put it on reset so now stuck at 11.

Aldi in Oban have bike racks which are filled with all sorts of stuff and also used as storage for trolleys.
There are people here who use bikes for shopping but space to put them is a problem. Tesco is not much better but Lidl does have some space tho’ not much.

Hello again from Kent where, if anything, it's even greyer, windier and colder than home. Truck racing is a popular as ever as it's very busy at the track despite this being the first day.

Coffee!:stop:

I've dispatched Carruthers to go and collect your supplies, and to leave you, gratis, a box of the finest Ceylon tea. Repeat offences aren't treated so leniently.
Pah - tea is the devil's wee wee and only drunk by those that can't handle a decent coffee 😁
