Wind seemed to drop so the Aldi trek, there in quite pleasant sunshine.Bit of drizzle on the return initially and then the wind strength increased a bit. Seems I timed it right as normal service has resumed; heavy rain.

Planned afternoon ride has been postponed until further notice. We had a lot of wind and very short sunny periods which punctuate some truly horrendous showers.

Been an afternoon of sun and heavy showers. Luckily I got the washing in before the real heavy shower arrived.
It's looking a lot brighter now so may get a short late afternoon walk in.

It's stayed dry here but it's been lustily gusty. I went for a walk in the woods and there are bluebells out already.

My 10km on the folding indoor bike like thingy this evening was accompanied by watching MVP do 14.8km; clearly those cobbles slowed him.

My parcel arrived early this afternoon. It was a 1/18 scale radio controlled Mercedes W11. It is good to compare it with the balsa model of a W12 that I'm trying to make . There are some differences between the models but general dimension wise they aren't too far out . I've been working from some overall dimensions and pictures on the net and in magazines.

Years ago, there was a man who lived near my maternal grandparents who was well-known for just going to house to house every evening until someone fed him.

When he was leaving, he always said "sorry for putting you to so much bother."

Once my Grandad replied "No bother, only expense!"

He never came back again at tea time!

I made a great deal of scampi today as I got 21-25# shrimps for 3.50 USD. I bought two. We had great rains and thunderstorms, as well as high winds. Here is a downpour approaching over the fields..

I am worried about the greenhouse at the bottom of the garden.It's one of those plastic carbonate things.It was not there yesterday.
