Winds seem to have eased a bit now.. I was going to ride over to a friends to drink coffee this afternoon but as i had to pick up a gallon of screenwash & a bag of spuds i decided to go by car.

Nice little 4 mile walk along footpaths and through the woods this afternoon to build up an appetite for tea.
The non-recycling wheelie bin has been moved to the front of the house ready for emptying tomorrow morning and I'm about to make a mug of hot chocolate before a (relatively) early night.

The parts shed now is accessible after I had a wheely good sort-out. eBay, and my bank account, should be the beneficiary.

If the Mavic wheelset took an 11 speed cassette and you did deliveries to hotels, I'd have made an offer on them as I'm in Leeds next week

Overcast skies but dry and still an ideal day for a ride but work has to be done.

Dry sunny morning so far and just been out to leave the keys in the car for the garage to collect and fit new front springs I hope.
I could have left them all night normally quite safely but not in tourist season.
Calmac are even sending out text messages that they are running normally.
Nothing planned and cannot commit to anything until I am sure the garage are getting on with the job.

I've come up with a brilliant idea!
Velcro insoles! Simply glue the insoles inside your shoes slip your stocking feet in and they will become firmly attached! No laces or buckles to worry about.

My car has vanished from it's parking spot and a black Audi is there instead.
I recognise that as belonging to the head mechanic so if they have the correct parts the job should get done and returned on time.

Wet and rain showers, one of which saw urgent trip to the bike shed as the humidity sensor was reading a touch high; turned out to be a lack of power resolved by resetting the outdoor safety plug .
