Just when you think you've found a break in the weather to nip out and get something to eat...🌦️ Still, the pack of chocolate iced ring doughnuts for 60p on yellow sticker went some way to replace the calories exerted battling the wind.

I have a savings bond which pays out next month and completed the maturity instructions by having some of it re-invested in another fixed bond (the rest will go into this year's ISA). An unplanned bit of fortunate timing means that the next bond will mature and pay out a nice bit of interest on the day before my 60th birthday

My wireless noise cancelling headphones are now installed.

My puter had a wobble and I called out the very expert computer man who lives near here. While he was here fixing the wobble, I asked him to install the headphones as I had failed.

Now when The Patient wants to watch things on the television that are not my I can listen to Meat Loaf, or Cher in comfort while knitting.

Yes, it was a wobble, cos the thingybob that goes in the wotsit for wireless connectivity was working loose. Somehow he told the computer not to look for BT internet when the Airband wobbled.

I bet you're relieved you didn't have to get a new oojamaflip installed!

I'm just back from the pub. I managed to score 800 at bagatelle. This, apparently, is the second highest score on that table. The all-time record score is 1,110. That's Rosie's score but she wasn't playing, she was serving the beers.

I'm in Madam's bad books because I've turned the radiator off in the dining room where her favourite igloo bed is, but I've sort of redeemed myself because I got the fire going this evening just to hold off the chill. Judging by her reaction, I think I ought to build a kitty rotisserie...
