I took my 1930ish Elswick out for a ride of about 12 miles. Very enjoyable it was too. The great thing about a stately bike with a bolt upright riding position is being able to see over the hedges!

I've just realised King George V was still on the throne when my bike was built.

Auto correct tried to change throne to throttle which would have made a humorous post. Did HM like to drive fast?

I don't know what the weather was like down here during the rest of the day, but it was a lovely late afternoon when I got home - to nice to spend indoors so I got the bike out and did a quick 12 mile loop in the sunny, warm and blustery conditions.

The overnight bag has been unpacked and re-stocked with fresh clothing and snacks ready for the next couple of days. I'm still undecided about a waterproof or just warm jacket with Monday's forecast.

Waterproofs, without a doubt.
Leave them behind and you'll know they'll be needed once you're gone too far to go back for them.

It is a bit grey at the moment. Yesterday started off in a similar way and brightened up nicely.
A group of us are going to a model railway exhibition in Calne this morning. It could be the reason why I had a nightmare. I had to get 3 letters and 3 parcels to Swindon college for 9 for my friend .The parcels had disappeared, I had to buy a train ticket, I had lost my leather jacket and I had half an hour to get there and my friend wasn't in any sort of a rush!

Our neighbour was out mowing his lawn yesterday so I thought I had better do ours!
It's nice to have neighbours!
I also worked on a child's bike which was being thrown out. Our grandson doesn't want it but my daughter's friend said she would have it for her daughter.
