Rain held off so headed into town was planning on a quick in and out. Before I went I asked Mrs 73 if she wanted anything and it turned into. A list full of stuff and number of shop to fit in before they closed. It's turned out to be nice and sunny afternoon though the wind takes any edge of it. May even manage to get this washing on the line and mostly dry before the light go's.
After doing some bike tinkering this morning I decided to take my Falcon Olympic out for a ride. The weather has warmed up a bit and the sun has been trying to break through some thin cloud. I did my usual route stopping off at Reybridge. The river has risen a lot due to last night's rain. Another 12 miles completed.
Son no. 1's flat is as finished as we can do. Still a few minor bits but he's in.
Son no. 2's TT cancelled due to flooding so he's gone to visit his Grandparent, which was where I'd left the wheel earlier for him to collect en route.
Nice sunny evening after a sunny day.
Got out for a trike run which was hard work with no motor. The motor may be good in some ways but it must interfere with fitness levels. The road as expected was not too busy and saw a few touring cyclists heading south.
Nothing much achieved today. Made some bread which did not rise too well but it will still get eaten. My own fault as I forgot initially to add milk powder which does affect the rise for reasons I do not quite understand.
I did work in a fermentation industry for 20 years using yeast so I should know but somehow that knowledge escapes me now.
