Not a bad afternoon at Silverstone - it only rained for two of the three hours of the race. And the whole of the drive over there. The sun came out just as I got back home.
It could have been worse - I could have been at Donington which was a complete wet out for the whole morning I understand.

As for being struck by lightning, 1 in 15,000. Although "Lightning Roy" got struck seven times.

Dad seems to be making good progress.
I had a five mile walk this morning and went for a ride in the afternoon on my Moulton. I was trying out a new bit of greenway, so planned the ride around it.
Just over thirty miles. I probably would have gone further if it hadn't come on with very heavy rain. I got somewhat damp.
Greenway a good effort, it runs alongside a horribly busy and dangerous main road that I would never have cycled on. Only about six miles but it will be extended in due course. Nice surface and perfectly wide enough. Part of me is disappointed that they hadn't went with plan A to re-purpose the former railway that runs nearby as it would be nice to cycle genuinely away from the traffic but it's probably more useful to the people that live alongside the road as it is and I see they done an offshoot into a school so it should enable at least some pupils to safely cycle to school.
The council have actually done something well.

Well a lovely 13 mile ride to Put the green recycling and brown garden waste bins at a less able family members as I forgot to do them yesterday.

We saw the fox at the top of the garden in the morning and in the evening we saw our first hedgehog this year. We have seen the odd message left by a hedgehog but not seen one until now .
