It will be 12 years on the 1st July.
I'm good at breaking unbreakable things. Like a door handle I broke last year. Metal snapped while I was closing the doors.
You simply pulled the door shut and the handle broke in your hand?

It's been a warm and showery day here chez Casa Reynard, although many of the showers seemed to slide past either side. Yesterday, we escaped the rain entirely. Not today.

Spent yesterday overdosing on motor racing. The BTCC action from Snett was by far the best of what was on offer (how good was Dan Zelos this weekend!), but also kept an eye / ear on the F1, the Prescott Historique and the Indy 500. The latter was on the radio from the official broadcaster - the commentary was really good, but oh my goodness, the adverts were really annoying.

Went yellow stickering again today. Much more success than on Saturday night, as I picked up a job lot of fish and seafood (which I will share with a good friend), Madam Lexi's favourite sliced chicken, plus job lots of fruit (tangerines, grapes, pears), and a job lot of pastries and doughnuts from the in store bakery. I also used my clubcard vouchers to acquire four sacks of potting compost, and I bought two cans of petrol for the mower.

Had creamy mushroom & garlic pasta for supper, and I am now planning on spending the remainder of the evening working on my archive.

It turned out to be quite a cool and breezy day, but I did manage to get just under 40 miles in on the bike with a shopping loop followed by a trip into the countryside. Just about got away with shorts & a short sleeved jersey, but took arm warmers just in case. Got home with plenty of time to wash & polish the car only for it to rain about an hour after I'd finished.

One of the things I picked up while shopping was a fresh grapefruit which I peeled & segmented ready for a treat for breakfast tomorrow - looks like I'll be having porridge instead as I just couldnt resist it a little while ago.

I only like grapefruit in marmalade form.

Bombhole Lake was quite impressive to see...

Have you dried out yet?

I have some very good waterproofs and walking boots that live in the car and had been donned before setting off for my preferred viewing spot and was carrying the brolly that also lives in the car. I've not seen the footage yet, but if it shows someone crouching behind an Alfa Romeo brolly on the Bentley Straight then :hello:.

The overnight bag has been packed and is now by the front door ready to go in the morning. Rail tickets are with my glasses under the house keys so cannot be forgotten - I'm so used to electronic tickets, I'd forgotten what a faff paper ones are.

First working day of the week completed. It's been dry but really hot and humid all day. I think we're overdue a thunderstorm. I was soaked in sweat after my dance class despite being in an air-conditioned studio.

My sore foot is much better today, thankfully. I've no idea what happened it.
