dropping car off a little later for some minor service tomorrow, but of course that meant a bit of tidying. also brought a few stray items into the house. here's hoping Wifey doesn't get mad

Another very mild but dull day here.

Only four more days of training left and still no idea what we will be doing next week as we still have no manager.

I been to my last dance class of 2024. Will be going to bed soon. 🛏️ 🥱

A trip to Manchester velodrome and 150 laps testing a new set of narrower carbon handlebars until the legs went pop. Racing afterwards was suggested but I'll leave that until January.

Co-op app came up with £2 voucher behind todays door so that was a bar of chocolate and a pack of jam filled coconut rings for £1.50

It's been a grey, breezy and mild day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Did the usual chores. Wrapped up and beribboned some "by hand" gifts (jars of preserves). The main task of the day was going to Tesco to finish off the shopping - except for fresh fruit & veg. I shall do that at the weekend once they've got all the offers on.

Cleared the list. Somehow ended up with a lot of cheese, though only the trio of Boursin was from the festive range. Used some of my clubcard money off vouchers to pay for a beef topside joint and a tomahawk steak. Stayed for final reductions - not a sniff of a regular since the markdowns became less generous (I was on my own again for finals tonight), but 50% off on things you can use is still good IMHO. I just don't buy as much, since I know that without the competition, I have opportunity enough.

Picked up a sage plant, satsumas, bread, croissants, smoked haddock, breaded tail-on king prawns and two large cranberry-topped pork pies on yellow sticker.

Cauliflower & broccoli soup and a bacon sandwich for supper.

Now sat chatting to a friend on Messenger and perusing stuff on the Bay of E.

Morning.
It is dark out.
We went to listen to some live music at a golf club near Bath last night. It was swing style music! It was mainly brass wind instruments, sexyphones,trumpets and tubulars with drum guitar and organ backing. It was alright but it's not my thing. I discovered that I am a natural at that type of music on my clarinet as there were sections of familiar tunes that I couldn't recognise!
