Morning.
Nice and sunny here.
I have been blaiming Royal Mail wrongly it seems. The reeds I bought on the bay were claimed to have been posted last Thursday. A reference number was given. Royal Mail only received it on Monday. The reeds should be arriving today. I am starting to simmer thinking that I have been looking at the tracking thinking that they might be arriving soon when they hadn't been dispatched!

Good morning from Suffolk where, yet again, it's a lovely sunny and warm start to the day. Coffee has been had with two biscuits as part of the energy replacement after yesterday.

Having just opened the last bottle of squash in the cupboard I think I'll go out later on and get some replacements, but that's about all I have to do today.

Is this caused by the latest Ebay change whereby the seller has to purchase postage through them? It automatically generates a tracking number and marks it as posted, even though the seller may not take the parcel to the Post Office for a day or two.

We are preparing for our Rocky Mountains trail tomorrow. The hotel is going to sign us out with a bear spray as there are black bears, cougars, wolves and mountain lions which are the main predators. We watched the mountain bikers preparing this afternoon they too were carrying bear spray. Nobody has been attacked since the 1980s but mountain lions are the big worry.

I spend a good deal of time in the Rockies and never carry anything that would harm the native wild life. It is their country, after all. Do you walk thorough shady areas of Derbyshire and carry mace, or other deterrent? Just treat wildlife with respect. I see far too many 'visitors' who think they should encroach on bears, moose, and other species so they can get the perfect 'selfie'. Many wild creatures have to be culled because they become to use to selfish, thoughtless humans who just cannot keep their distance.
Enjoy the Rockies, but don't go there planning to disturb the inhabitants.

Day in office finished with opening a furnace, the car door.
Electric windows are annoying in that you cannot immediately wind them down.
Back home the daffodils are finally looking sad while a clematis has been binned. Has been in a trough for over a decade and has reached the point where its initial spurt resulted in a wiltering due to trough being primarily roots.
The trough has also about had it.

Don't be alarmed at the speed at which the scan has been booked. You may have just filled another that got cancelled. Don't fret about it, or the blood tests.
I always find those appointments that are scheduled about two weeks later more of a worry. They'll have worked to fit you in as soon as possible.

You've enough blood for the tests!

I had more blood tests, at 9.30am, and more prodding by a nurse and doctor at about 12 noon.

After seeing the doctor he thought I should have a CT scan, but after a further two hour wait, they postponed that until tomorrow.
That means more waiting and not eating tomorrow.

It's been a lovely warm and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Morning chores included doing a load of laundry - which was hung outside on the drive - and prepping the fruit for a batch of raspberry & apple jam. Also kept an eye on the snooker (Higgins v Williams), which was very entertaining.

Had a lovely luncheon of tiger bread, Polish sausage, Cornish Blue cheese, fruit and a :cuppa:

After, took the mower out and finished cutting the bit I started yesterday. Put the mower away, and sat down to watch the Judd Trump v Luca Brecel match. That's been just THE best match of the championships so far. Shame one of these fellas has to lose.

Jam is now cooking on the hob, and just supping a nice :cuppa: and a biskit.
