Take two failed - no long wooden planters to be found locally so it looks like an on-line order.
Toolstation now to visit for a can of primer for the other planter and the trellis which will be painted to (hopefully) match the new planter. Now do order charcoal or nutmeg...

Beautiful morning walk with Cassie, extended slightly, from our recent Saturday walks, along the canal to the next bridge. Met a guy who complained yesterday's cooler weather resulted in a sunburnt head. Coming back along the parallel footpath passed through an tunnel of May blossom which hit my breathing & eyes! Coming to the cowfield with two others we hesitated as were not sure where the cows were. The path is narrow under the bypass & if they gather there it's not good to take a dog through. Thankfully a neighbour was coming the other way and said they were well up the field and the path was clear. Long discussion followed on the foibles of our respective border collies, till we reached the other side of the field and our paths split, mine going along the river, his to the road. 8k steps walked, snooze taken after returning home.

What bureaucracy? I bought it in the local motor factors. In and out in a few minutes and only €9.

Especially by folk lost in Ikea

The last time I got dragged to that Ikea was during the Salmonella crisis & they wouldn't serve eggs with a breakfast... Imagine that!!

It's finally got a bit overcast and breezy - just in time for me not to have a bit of time sat in the garden with a coffee having had a post ride shower.
I think a short nap on the sofa may be had instead.

It went a bit grey this afternoon and i wouldn't have been surprised if it had rained but thankfully it didn't and it's back to blue sky and a lovely evening .

An afternoon hot chocolate was had so it will be an evening cup of tea in a while for me
