Whoop spoke too soon. 3 x F15 Strike Eagles just flew over low.

Lovely

I love fast jets
my wife - not so much
I took her to RIAT many years ago and she slept through a full throttle display by a Rafael!!

Next time we went I left her in the hotel room and she spent the day reading and shopping

I don;t think she would regard fast jets as an asset to a campsite!!

When I was a kid we used to have Vulcans* fly over quite regularly, unreal sound but then the last flights of Concorde came over Leicester it was flying 'nose up' and the racket was immense.

* flying in to Bruntingthorpe for servicing as were the Red Arrows who did a practice display over the airfield and partly over our school in Lutterworth

Lovely supper of a Spanish omelette and tabbouleh. :mrpig:

what makes it spanish? salsa over the top?

in my 20s, I was a short order cook, at various places. this one summer hotel, w/ a restaurant, had me making spanish omelettes, a ladle of scrambled eggs, cut up sausage, tomato, onion, green peppers, cheese, cayenne pepper sprinkled inside & a splash of salsa on top. made a lot of those

We did Riat last year and got woke up at 5am by an active U2 going off on a mission - we didn't half jump (in a tent). At least these left it till breakfast time.

After lunch went out for an hour on the CX bike. Plotted a route that took me into the hills at the side of Llyn Tegid upto Parc. Garmin maps lied. As soon as I turned off the main road outside Bala, the road went vertical and didn't stop. Fortunately my hip didn't cause any issues and I just sat down in 34x32 and grinded away. Lovely little lanes but in true Welsh style, just go straight up, no contour following.

A lovely and warm sunny day. Still blustery, but breeze is now coming from the south east instead of the north.

Slept well enough. Had a morning of chores.

Lovely luncheon of seeded sourdough, smoked mackerel, cream cheese, fruit and a :cuppa:

Spent the afternoon in the garden pulling weeds. The newly-emptied green bin, between my efforts and the parental's efforts, is now chock full again.

Just sat down with a :cuppa: and a biskit.

IIRC, a Spanish omelette should have potato and onion.

Mind you, quite a few cuisines have an egg-and-random-vegetables etc thing. Italian frittata, Japanese okonomiyaki and omurice...
