I have had a go on my sax this morning. 8 didn't get on very well so I thought I would have a go my clarinet. It isn't half quiet! I then started thinking about those people in marching bands, you have the quieter musicians at the front with louder instruments blasting into their ears from right behind them. It's a wonder they aren't deaf!

I would suggest you check to see if the pads on the keys might not want replacing.

I think 18 hours sleep is enough

Not if you're me. And not if you're my cat!

Good morning from Suffolk where the skies are clear, the sun is shining and the breeze looks to have dropped a bit. Coffee has been had from a freshly opened pack.

When I finally get myself going this morning, I'll be off shopping for away day food & travel snacks for Sunday as well as whatever I can find for today's tea. A longer bike ride will be taken in the afternoon to enjoy the countryside in this good weather.

You off to Brands tomorrow for the touring cars?

Not my kitchen but the Tesco ones on the right are 10 times better than the ones on the left.

A couple of weeks ago SWMBO fell out of the hammock, breaking it. I may have smirked.

Well tonight I heard one of our wooden benches creaking as I sat on it, then the centre snapped and I fell through. :B) SWMBO did more than smirk :cursing:

A new, slightly different, hardwood bench has been ordered.

A hug was dispensed. But I'm trying desperately NOT to laugh...

Nope - off to Newcastle to see Panic Shack at The Cluny*. I'll be doing the Sunday at Snetterton in a couple of weeks time but will miss the Saturday practice & qualifying due to travelling back from yet another away day.

* On the subject of which...Due to engineering work on the branch line between Stowmarket & Ely (which I knew about when booking) travel is slightly complicated on Sunday. Instead of the normal Felixstowe-Ipswich-Peterborough-Newcastle route it would be Felixstowe-Ipswich-Norwich-Peterborough-Newcastle. However, thanks to the complete lack of public transport from here before 09:00 on Sundays I'm having to drive to Stowmarket and pick the Ipswich-Norwich mainline train up from there.

Then, which I didn't know about when booking, there's the Newcastle v Chelsea football match which kicks off at midday (why?) and means the final whistle should blow about 20 minutes before my train arrives. Looks like the planned walk along the river and a couple of quiet drinks before booking into the hotel may not go as hoped for.

Rant over - I now return you to your normal mundanity while I make a hot chocolate.
