from sunny Leeds. Lunch and first 🍺 have been had and second 🍺 has just been ordered. Stopped at Decathlon on the way to the pub to pick up a click and collect order as it saves on postage to home and there isn't one near home.

I know it's Live in Leeds in the Park festival this weekend, but that doesn't account for some of the sights seen while walking round the city

Really don't know why I washed three cars today, but at least it reduces the pollen and dust on them (and bird poo). They will be full of sandy rain splodges tomorrow.

my late Father bought me a really nice pair about 12 years ago. they're toast. I found the same ones, same size, in good condition for 1/3 the price of a new pair ...

every time I put them on (for the past 12 years) I remember the Christmas he gave them to me & our convo:
me "wow these are great! I can shovel snow in these!"
Dad, laughing: "NO! don't shovel snow in those!"

or should I cough up the $$ he did, I just buy a new pair?

Lunchtime Co-op trek. Had far more stock than last week but still gaps. Fundamentally had what I wanted.
4pm end to WAH and car to Currys for a new Freesat PVR. Where do they get there staff from.
"We do not have any in stock"
Pointed out their web site said they did.
"Oh! Must have come in yesterday. I was off"
Installed and working after two attempts at the wifi password and three fittings of the satellite leads. So Giro highlights in HD rather than Freeview SD hopefully. Have set a Freeview PVR just in case theres an issue.
Lawns to cut this evening before the rain.

It's been a warm but mostly grey day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but it took me ages to drop off last night. The usual choresy morning doing those little things that always seem to need doing. Took some ham pieces and cooked turkey from the freezer. Will use the ham in a mac & cheese, and the turkey will end up in a rillettes.

I think they are called Scottish Flop Eared or something. Flat faces and shrivelled rates. It is cruel messing with animals.

If you're thinking of a Scottish Fold, then they are of BSH type. They aren't brachycephalic i.e. flat-faced. However given that the breeding of folded ear to folded ear can lead to serious joint issues, the breed is not recognised by the GCCF.
