I mowed the back lawn, now I am eating a hot dog with mustard, dill relish, and fermented sauerkraut

I once won a year's supply of those. 365 bars arrived, all Oats'n'Honey flavour ... but ... with a 6-week shelf life.

I gave most of them away.

Years ago, a friend randomly entered a radio competition one wet Sunday afternoon whilst feeling bored.

She won...a year's supply of milk.

The thing is her family own a large dairy farm and every morning a van delivering a litre of milk arrived, usually followed by the lorry to collect the milk to take to the creamery. It seemed utterly pointless, so she wrote to them to cancel it, and received a cheque in return for the value of the rest of the year!

Give us a clue which of the 542 lots in the linked auction you mean. Or do you plan on buying the lot and block the exit with them to stop me getting out of the station?

they keep making them thinner & thinner while keeping the price the same or increasing. they used to be good but they barely stay together now because they are so thin. they were good when they first came out years ago

That's Aldi shrinkflation. They must think their customers are total morons.
It's the price per gramme that matters!

It's been a grey, warm and humid day after overnight rain here chez Casa Reynard. And it's raining again now.

Slept well and overslept massively. Weird dream about cats, Minis and trailers. Had a bit of a kitchen morning, and made a big dish of potted turkey - basically cooked turkey, melted butter, a little stock and plenty of seasoning. Used fresh herbs from the garden: sage, oregano, parsley and thyme. As well as a nice big fat clove of garlic. Should be lovely on some toast.

Had a lovely luncheon of sourdough toast, gammon, the last of the Caprice des Dieux cheese, fruit and a :cuppa:

Listened to the qually from Monaco. And then listened to Arsenal v Barcelona (women's champions league final). The girls done us proud - they did a right defensive number on a rather entitled Barca side. (Who walloped Chelsea 8-2 in the semi...)

Fabby supper of the last of the soup, then a ham & leek mac & three cheese. :hungry:

Had a quiet evening, and am sat in bed listening to some Mozart in order to drown out the sound of a snoring cat.
