All 3 retail parks have been closed since the fire started and the roads past/ti them aren't expected to open until tomorrow morning. We've not noticed any smoke or smells as we're north of the town..
I wonder if @Drago has had to batten down the hatches!? 🤔

That's better - a quick 15 minute post lunch, 🍺 and shower snooze.
Got lucky with the weather - looks like there was some heavy rain before I got here (
from Leeds by the way) and more went through to the south after I arrived. It's going to be a breezy walk up to the Brudenell, but should be a good evening of music.

I enjoyed my day. I had been meaning to visit the museum for a long time. The drive there took much longer than I was expecting. Maybe I need to get one of these German cars so I can bully and intimidate others out of the way!
I met Nancy, a 1908 steam loco, and had a short journey as well as a look around the workshops, old station buildings and all sorts of interesting curios from those "bikes" that fit on the rails, a Rolls Royce jet engine, a homemade submarine with a VW flat 4 engine.
My one gripe is with the car park, it took me about 20 minutes to actually pay for parking on a website as I had do much info to fill in including make, model and colour of car as well as the reg and the card details.
Also, network was very patchy and kept dropping. Not the museum's fault as the car park belongs to the railway station which is still active (the museum is the narrow guage branch line to a mine that closed in '59). What was wrong with putting coins in a machine?

mini ck 1 18 today !
Took the family to derby and met up with ck 1s cousin for a shopping day for the kids to spend the dosh and get nails done so whilst the kids were off spending my cash me and mrs ck mooched around the shops .
Met up for dinner at M and S cafe but mini ck 1 didnt want anything there even though they chose the place and mrs ck wouldnt go anywhere else so and argument ensued with me stuck in the middle trying to make everyone happy which is going to work as neither was goign to back down ,this didnt do my moods any good so i have been at a low since then .
When the kids eventually finished we nipped home for a few mins before heading to an American diner in one of those train cars along with mrs ck dad and a family friend for themed meal .
After that we all came back to our house for the cake ceremony .
