Recycling bin has been emptied, retrieved and put back into its normal spot by the back door. The first thing to go in there was a leaflet left by the council about recycling electrical items.

Last month I managed to book a day-and-a-half on the same day for a half day's leave as an error. The leave booking system let me (IT systems ) and my line manager signed it off, despite an added request for her not to.

So I'm taking the first half day's error back this morning. So ... two work calls come through anyway! At least I've managed to save a colleague from looking dippy and a student to pass from them.

Short ride out for Turf zones and a coffee plus cake in Wakefield is occurring.

Changing times. A railway station was where somone did business with the railway. With the general lack today of parcels activity, enquiry offices and ticket offices, a train station is more descriptively correct as the sole reason for going there is to catch a train.

Looked at the weather radar & there appeared to be the possibility of rain within 2 hours or so. So back lawn mini meadow is mowed.

Thankfully the rain has only just reached Anglesey so should be OK.

Have opened a can of cider 'cos I've heard that's what you're supposed to drink when cutting hay.

This morning I sold a pair of forks which I'd had listed. All fine there.

I bought them back in 2018 as a spare set from the US, as the seller there was the only one I could find globally with a pair of Cervelo S3 forks available. All fine, apart from a £53 import tax bill.

Fast-forward seven years and they're now going back to the US, where I'm expecting the buyer to have to pay an import tax again

I placed an order with the rainforest named shopping site on Wednesday last week and the transaction was showing as 'pending' in my bank account up to yesterday.
Most of the items were delivered on Friday, but the transaction has completely disappeared from my bank account. Will need to keep an eye out to see what happens.
Wonder if I'm going to get £140 of free stuff?

I picked up the new brake light switch. £43. 38p. Expensive. I had fun fitting it! Back breaking trying to lie on the front seat and fit my head underneath the steering wheel and dash. Trying to get both arms under in that position is impossible! I eventually fitted it and it is now working. The warning light on the dash has now gone out. I saved some money.

Another day of rainy forecast but none so far Post WAH an immediate Aldi trek just in case the wet stuff does arrive later.
At lunchtime I tried to remove a dead group of a ferns leaves and it fell over Around 9 years old it seems the core had died long ago and what somehow has survived is an off shoot with a pair of tiny roots.
