P.S. I would recommend the Langres cheese. It is much nicer than the YS Epoisses that I picked up the other week. OK, well, *both* are nice, but the Langres ticked far more of my boxes.

I had to break it open earlier, as it was bought very ripe.

Still very warm & sticky here in Suffolk with no sign of the promised rain.
Can't decide whether to go with a hot drink, a cold drink or both.

Just back from another trip to Speyside. Two weeks of cake, walks, cake, a few easy off road rides, and more cake. Wildlife sightings included a distant golden eagle, osprey, red kite, golden plover, numerous cuckoos, several broods of goldeneye ducklings and a slow worm. And the usual red squirrels.
Also enjoyed a wonderful gig by Duncan Chisholm and Hamish Napier at Boat of Garten Community Hall. Very special to hear them playing in a wee village hall.

There's a certain feeling that rain is due overnight so i will not be watering the plants tonight .

Are you sure you don't need to? The local council has people watering plants in the main street every morning, even in torrential rain.

What are our council workers doing over your way?
It's not uncommon to see them in full waterproofs, watering/feeding the plants in thunderstorms and heavy rain.

I had been hoping the heavy rain yesterday would have cleared the air a bit but it's still heavy atmosphere which always causes my sinuses to act up.

I went to visit my aunt and uncle this evening. Neither are in the best of health really and my aunt stays in bed most of time.

It's not capable of doing either at present. A decent thunderstorm would clear the air, giving us settled weather. Either warm, but not as warm as the odd warm days we're getting or wet weather.

Complete change of plan. Rather than a ride then an afternoon out, I ended up on a one way bike ride to Beccles, had a couple of drinks and am now on the train home. The air conditioning is bloody lovely.
It's not Ipswich and it's not Adnams but it was most welcome

I went to Beccles last century. Actually had customers there. Was a 2 day trip, back in the day.

Also went to college with a chap from Beccles.
When asked why he chose to come to Cardiff. About as fas as it's possible to be away from Beccles. His response was along the lines that he was a mathematician, not a geographer.

Some lightning in the distance and subsequent rubles of thunder. Still no rain.

Just put the art stuff away after doing a bit more on the 893 drawing. All that's left to do is the air restrictor and the right rear tyre, plus add the detail to the engine cowling and rear suspension. The final stage will be to finish all the shading.

Tonight's job was the rear wing and the roll hoop.
