I did have the opportunity to pick up a goose on YS Christmas eve just gone, but I opted for two turkeys instead. Ergo I can't cook a goose cos I ain't got one LOL.

Yes but The Dolphin is easier to say.

I’ve always assumed that the way English speaking riders jokingly refer to the Dolphin is simply a pun on Dauphin but historically the derivation is the other way round. The historical ruler of the region had a dolphin on his coat of arms, he became known as ‘the dauphin’, and in time the region became the dauphine. It’s flag shows two dolphins. Odd for a land locked region.
