Off to the 'slice & dice' table the morn for my op.
Have been 'instructed' to 'bathe or shower thoroughly using the special medicated wash liquid and wear clean clothing' before I arrive for said op - !
All to do with reducing the transmission of MRSA nasties.

Post WAH the squirrel baffel fixed. Also altered the hanging of the sunflower heart feeder. Gave it a clean and belately noted it has a pair of pull out loops for the birds to sit on, not that they have had any problems without.
Definitely a touch warmer, summer fruit crumble had ice cream with it.
Evening Co-op trek and a pretty full rucksack with muesli, oranges, ciabatta rolls and a TV guide

I've been wondering about the B2 stealth bomber. It's got a microwave oven so that the pilots can brew up the odd Pot Noodle.

Does anybody have any idea what Northrop Grumman charges the US taxpayer for each of these marvellous domestic appliances?

Supper was a chunk of Melton Mowbray pork pie, the small spoon of pasta left over from last night, and a garden salad.

Same with Sunday markets, often on former airfields. Used to be well worth the visit for bargains galore and plenty of sales pitch / banter from the touts.
However, most have either died a death or become car boot sales.
From what I can infer, it's the growth of the bargain stores; QD, Poundland, B & M, Home Bargains, etc., etc. that have caused said downfall.
Why travel to a Sunday market out in the sticks when you can get it all at pretty much the same prices either in town or at the nearest retail park - ?

Used to be some good car boot sales around here, but other than the big one in Fordham, they've all disappeared. I guess it's less faff for people to sell their stuff on the 'bay or wherever, than spending their Sunday standing around in a field.

Despite the delayed trip home, today has been a very good day. On arrival at Ipswich I remembered that I had a free drink from Costa having reached 10 beans on their app, so a large hot chocolate was had while waiting for the final train home. Then I logged on to my bank to see how much TFL had charged me for the earlier tube trip (just a 10p holding charge at the moment) only to find a large sum from a savings bond interest payout I'd forgotten was due. Cue a spending spree this evening on another away day in November on a band's just released tour date, a few bike bits & clothing, everything on my Bandcamp list and the clearing 'treat' list I keep for any spare cash.
